Custom Cut Kiln Dried Oak Boards

UK Timber are unique in the UK market in that we control the production process from the tree to the finished product across our range of domestic timbers, including boards, beams, furniture panels and more. Our comprehensive sawmill facilities feed an array of high tech drying kilns to provide a wide variety of qualities, sizes and species. All material is graded on site by our own BMTrada accredited graders.

PLEASE NOTE:

UK Timber supply kiln dried European oak boards in Prime Grade, Character Grade, Prime Grade Planed all Round (PAR) and Character Grade Planed all Round (PAR).

Sawn boards will mostly be cross-cut to a slightly longer length to enable trimming to the correct size on site.

Important Note: Sawn boards are in their rough form and will always require further finishing, for example planing then sanding. They may exhibit surface stain, watermarks, small checks, tannin marking (dark black/grey surface marking) and may be slightly oversized. This is completely normal and to be expected, finishing by planing or sanding or both is required to bring out the woods internal beauty. If more precise, clean finished dimensions are necessary then buying finished planed all round boards is suggested.

If you are finishing your own oak boards please allow for 6mm reduction in width to achieve an even finish.
