Douglas Fir Beams

Douglas Fir and British Larch, both very durable domestic softwoods are used extensively in Timber Framed Structures. Although not quite as durable as European Oak, both these beautifully grained materials offer a lower cost yet equally attractive alternative. The characteristics of both species are so similar that we mix and match as required. If a particular species is deemed necessary then please make a note with your order.
